Lake Erie, Ohio

We're in Lake Erie, Ohio. Went to Magee Marsh, it's a bird sanctuary, more like a bug sanctuary, really pretty though. Saw Marblehead Lighthouse, couldn't go inside unfortunately.
A couple of nights ago a tornado hit 28 miles from here, killing 5 people, they had to go into the showers to take cover at 3 am. in the campground we're in. Glad we missed that!!

North West Pennsylvannia

Sunday we went to a Nascar race at the Pocono Raceway. Right when they were doing their warm up lap, it just starting pouring, everyone got under the bleachers and then within a few minutes of torrential rain, it cleared up and we went back up. We dried out, but then the wind started up and it was very cold, but the race was great, and we were able to see the whole thing.

Left the Poconos and are heading "Westward Home", it's seems strange to be heading West after going East for so long. We're still taking our time in coming home, but we are getting homesick and so we think it's time to head back. Pennylvannia is so beautiful, so green.

Lititz, Pennsylvannia

We went to Lititz, Pennsylvannia not far from where we're staying. Another quaint little town, it was voted Best Destination City in the U.S. to visit. The first pretzels in the U.S. were made here in the late 1800's, went on a tour there and made pretzels. Also, Wilbur Chocolate factory is here, they make all kinds of chocolate, but they make Wilbur Buds, looks like a Hershey's kiss, except Wilbur Buds were made 10 years before Hershey's Kisses.
We're enjoying the thunder and lightening storms here, so cool to see.

So many of the buildings on Main St were built in the late 1700-1800's

Lancaster County, PA

We are in Lancaster County, PA. So pretty here too. Very serene and peaceful. Went on a tour through the farmlands and stopped at several places along the way. Had fresh, hot out of the oven soft pretzels and homemade lemonade. Bill bought some home made Root Beer. Beautiful hand crafted furniture, quilts, etc. Lots of antiques here also.

Laundry is on clothes lines on pulleys that go way up
